What happened at the Spanish GP
Lewis Hamilton emerged victorious at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in a thrilling encounter against title rival Vettel. Red Bull’s Daniel Ricciardo finished a distant 3rd, over 1 minute behind Hamilton. With both Bottas and Raikkonen retiring it looks increasingly like a 2 way fight for the Drivers’ Championship.Yet again the Force India drivers had a strong showing, taking advantage of several incidents to finish 4th and 5th and cement their 4th place position in the Constructors’ Championship. Hulkenberg once again delivered a strong points tally for Renault, taking their total ahead of what they got in the whole of 2016 already. Both Toro Rosso drivers finished in the points, whilst one of the standout performers was Sauber’s Pascal Wehrlein who came home an impressive 8th.
