Bru's wife picks perfect Premier League round!

Thanks to a British bru named Matt Griffin or 'Griff' (and his mate John who was the bru that brought this to our attention), we've been handed a great story that we're sure all Superbru players can enjoy. Round 13 of our Premier League predictor game saw just one player manage to nail 10 out of 10 results - that player was Griff - but all was not as it seemed.

Having won the wooden spoon on several occasions in the rounds leading up to Round 13, there was pool-wide amazement that Griff had suddenly managed to dramatically improve his poor picking form to such an extent that his predictions weren't only Yellow Cap worthy in that single pool, but on a global scale.

Here are those incredible Round 13 picks - the only 10/10 score managed by a Superbru player that weekend.



So how did Matt manage it? Well, a group chat message from Griff to the members within his pool explained that it was in fact his wife Nik who made the picks!

"However chaps I have a bit of a confession to make. Was drunk on Friday night and talking to Nik about the spoon fear. Nik made these picks. Every single one. She also locked them so I couldn't change them. I figured she couldn't be any worse than me and she's only gone and got every single result. I am never, ever going to hear the end of this. Please direct any praise for my ridiculously high scoring week to my wife..."

We'd certainly echo that final line if any of you fancy congratulating Nik in the comments! To make the inevitable bragging Matt will be suffering from even worse, we even have this picture of he and his wife with their relevant Superbru trophies.



Whilst we know it's unlikely to have been quite as successful, we'd be interested to know if any other brus have adopted the 'let your wife/husband make your picks for you' approach in any Superbru tournaments!? If not, this story certainly suggests it's worth a try..
