New name, old game! |
16 Jul 2010 Welcome to SuperBru's fifth installment of New Zealand provincial rugby. Once known as the NPC, then more recently the Air New Zealand Cup, NZ's premier domestic rugby tournament is now called the ITM Cup. 2009's Air New Zealand Cup was won by Canterbury, who beat Wellington in the final. This year's event has much the same format (incidentally identical to Super 14): 14 teams are taking part. Each will play each other team once, and the top four will go through to semi-finals. We've always enjoyed running this tournament, which attracts our hard core NZ audience plus assorted other rugby fans who are looking to learn a bit more about grassroots NZ rugby (or are just plain addicted to SuperBru). We hope you enjoy it! |
