top player at the end of the league (round robin) stage, and for
every winner of every qualifying pool in the game!
League stage prize
League stage winner: tickets to the final!
The top player on the global leaderboard at the end of the league stage of the Currie Cup after the WP v Lions game on October 4th will win an all expenses paid trip for two people to see the Currie Cup final* from anywhere in South Africa, courtesy of 41 Strategic Incentive Management. * Please see terms and conditions below.
The prize will include:
- Two entry and seat tickets for the stadium venue where the final will be played.
- Accommodation for two for one night in the city where the final will be played.
- An allowance towards meals valued at R500.
- Two return air tickets on an airline of 41 Strategic Incentive Management (Pty) Ltd’s choice. Only single stop return flights from Cape Town, George, Port Elizabeth, East London, Durban, Bloemfontein, Upington and Johannesburg to the final’s destination are included, as determined by commercial airline availabilities. Flight delays are at the risk of the winner.
- Car rental between the stadium, accomodation and the airport.
- If the winner lives in the city where the final takes place, the prize will not include air tickets nor accommodation, but the funds may be made available for meals at the discretion of 41 Strategic Incentive Management (Pty) Ltd.
- The prize is only valid for the weekend of the final, planned for Saturday 25 October 2008.

Terms and conditions: League Winner prize
- The top South Africa-based player (i.e. South African resident) on the global leaderboard at the end of the league stage of the Currie Cup will qualify for the League Winner prize.
- The Currie Cup league stage ends with the last round robin match prior to the semi-finals.
- The points total taken into account for the prize will be Win Points + Margin Points + Grand Slam Points.
- Bonus Points will not be included in the calculation for the prize winner.
- Only one player will qualify for the prize, even in the event of a points tie (see tie-breaking mechanism below).
- The prize is transferable to another registered SuperBru player who is resident in South Africa (a winning player based outside South Africa may thus transfer the prize to a player domiciled in South Africa).
- No prizes will be issued to winners of individual pools.
- Winning players will officially be notified by email.
- Any winning player that cannot be contacted by email as a result of having submitted an invalid email address to the game on registration will be disqualified from the prize and the prize will go to the next best player.
- Prizes do not have a cash alternative. Nevado Ltd and 41 Strategic Incentive Management (Pty) Ltd reserve the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value at any time.
- Winners may be requested to take part in promotional activity and Nevado Ltd and 41 Strategic Incentive Management (Pty) Ltd reserve the right to use the names of winners and their photographs in any publicity.
- Employees of Nevado Ltd or 41 Strategic Incentive Management (Pty) Ltd or any such person's subsidiary or associated companies, agents or members of their families or households, are not eligible to win prizes. If such a person qualifies for a prize he or she will forfeit it to the next best player.
- The decision of Nevado Ltd in respect of qualification for prizes is final.
- These rules are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Tie-breaking for prizes
We may have a situation where two or more players qualify for prizes based on points totals. Here's how we'll break ties in this eventuality.
The starting point will be the players with the highest Win Point + Margin Point + Grand Slam Point total (
no Bonus Point). In the event of ties:
- The player with the higher Win Point total will qualify
- If there are still ties, the player with the lower Total Distance from Margin* (TDM) will qualify
- If there are still ties, a coin flip will decide the winner
*
Total Distance from Margin: this is the sum of the absolute values of the differences between your picks and the actual picks for all games in a round. It's visible on your weekly performance chart on the home page, and on your
performance page. Example:
