SuperBru is all about scoring points, and it's critical to understand how they are won. We suggest you take a look at the how to play guide for a tutorial-style explanation, and then to confirm check the scoring rules in formal style below.


PREDICTION MODEL

You must predict:

• The game outcome (home team win, draw or away team win)
• The goal difference
• The actual score

Points are awarded as follows:

Point	Value	Description
Win Point (WP)	1.0	Scored by all players correctly predicting the game outcome (home team win, draw or away team win)
Margin Point (MP)	0.5	Scored by all players whose goal difference prediction is correct. You must get the winner correct in order to qualify for a MP.
Bonus Point (BP)	1.0	Scored by player(s) whose actual score prediction(s) is/are correct. Unlike in other SuperBru games, the BP will not be split between qualifying players, and the point will thus be included on the global leaderboard.
Grand Slam Point (GSP)	2.0	Scored by all players who correctly predict the game outcomes (i.e. home win, draw or away win) for all the games played for a round of the Group Stages.

PLAYOFF GAMES

With the games getting more difficult to predict as the competition hots up, the win points will be valued at:

• Last 16: 1
• Quarter Finals: 1.5
• Semi-Finals: 2
• Finals: 3

DEFAULT RULE

If you do not make your pick for a game, you will be given a default pick. This will be the home team to win. You will qualify for Win Points if the home team wins, but no Margin, Bonus or Grand Slam Points.

Furthermore, there is a limit of 7 defaults per player in the tournament - i.e. we will give you the home team 7 times but no more: after that you will not have any chance of scoring points if you do not make your picks.
